The staff of Mud Pie is proud to present their fifth annual arts night and poetry slam:

Arts Poetica: Volume Five

  The Commons  
  6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
The evening is a sharing of artwork, poetry and music in an open-mic format. Students, parents and community members are encouraged to bring in written work to read--either original or a favorite poem!
Sit down at the Art Wall and create art right on the spot that evening! 
$5 suggested donation at the door - proceeds help support Mud Pie, WSA's annual art and literary magazine.

ACT test March 12:


All students in 11th Grade will take the ACT test with writing on March 12 in Upper Ryan Hall, beginning at 8:20 a.m.

Students will not be expected to attend any classes after the exam and will be free to go home when the exam is complete.

The ACT is a national college admissions examination that consists of subject area tests in: English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science. The ACT with writing includes the four subject area tests plus a 40-minute writing test. ACT results are accepted by all four-year colleges and universities in the US.

next 2019 Kitsap Youth Rally theme: Write Your Own StoryMarch 22:


Kitsap Youth Rally for Human Rights

On March 22, 2019 over 300 junior and senior high school students from the Kitsap Peninsula will gather at Olympic College to educate one another and celebrate the human rights of all students.
WSA is the co-host this year, with North Kitsap School District.
WSA music students will perform for the opening and closing ceremonies, and the QSA@WSA club will present two breakout sessions: The Write Representation and Harnessing the Power of Your Story to Inspire a Movement.
WSA delegation: 30 students and 3 staff!
