West Sound Academy depends on the gracious involvement of its parents in the life of the community. The West Sound Academy Parent Community Association (PCA) is the parent liaison group for the school. The overall belief is that every parent is a member of the PCA and engages at the level appropriate for the individual in the supportive activities described below.


The Parent Community Association is organized for the purpose of supporting and enhancing the educational experiences of West Sound Academy students by:

1. Providing an organization through which the parents, school, and teachers can work cooperatively

2. Identifying one parent liaison to each grade for effective communication and calls for action among the group

3. Facilitating the donation of food or drinks for school community events

4. Supporting fundraising activities through committees & participation

5. Assisting WSA’s administration team in the office & library

6. Providing enrichment opportunities for teachers in the classroom

7. Helping with field trips and chaperone duties
