The entire WSA community played a part in making our school’s 16th Annual Auction a tremendous success.
Thanks to the hard work of the Auction Committee and active involvement of faculty, parent and student volunteers, this celebration of West Sound Academy set at the beautiful Whitehorse Golf Club was inspirational and enjoyed by all.
Active bidding on our donated auction items and an outpouring of support during the IB paddle call combined with the generous matching donations raised a total of $103,000 for scholarships and over $92,000 for the school’s programs.
The end result of this philanthropy is that each donor has helped us meet our on-going commitment to provide WSA students with a world-class education and to ensure that families and students continue to have a globally-recognized, safe, supportive, and respectful community for their children. The generosity of attendees, volunteers, and auction organizers helped make this possible.
Donations of valuable time were more plentiful than ever, as well. The hundreds of hours of hard work by the Auction Committee and many other volunteers made for a successful evening that exceeded everyone’s expectations. WSA is grateful for the effort demonstrated by these parent, faculty and student volunteers.
Reflections of Fall, 2013
Whether someone donated an item to the auction, provided a sponsorship, purchased an item, raised your paddle for the paddle call, bought a raffle ticket, gave to the scholarship fund, or simply attended the auction, their presence and participation helped us to reach our goals: to strengthen our school community and raise funds for West Sound Academy programs and scholarships. We couldn’t have done it without you.
