THANK YOU FOR A SUCCESSFUL AUCTION!

A big thank you goes to the entire West Sound Academy community for making our school’s 14th Annual Auction such a tremendous success. The Sons of Norway Hall was transformed into a spectacular setting overlooking the Poulsbo marina. The food prepared and served by Gourmondo Catering was incredible.

Students of West Sound played an important role in all aspects of this event.  In the weeks leading up the big night on March 10th, students prepared items to donate or helped with numerous tasks of logistics from preparing mailings and folding catalogs to simple, but necessary, toting and lifting.  Members of the Performance Club, under the guidance of WSA parent Sara Adams, spent hours planning and practicing for their appearance at the auction.  They were truly amazing with their songs and choreographed moves and ... in their performances in the roles of waiters!  They were a tremendous help with serving appetizers and clearing tables.

WSA will soon have the fundraising results but preliminary counts indicate that the original $25,000 goal at the Paddle Call was surpassed, resulting in a double match of all those dollars. That means $75,000 will be applied toward scholarships directly benefitting the students of WSA. The generosity of everyone at the auction helped make this possible.

The entire West Sound community is grateful to auction co-chairs Lisa Romasco and Jennifer Hunter for their work in overseeing the entire event. There are many other parent volunteers, teachers, students, donors and contributors to thank and it is through their time, creativity and energy that made this celebration of West Sound Academy so spectacular.
