Students are assigned an advocate who meets with him or her regularly. Together they plan learning contracts, track organizational skills, and work on aspects of service learning. Advocates stay with their students throughout the students' tenure at the school, helping to ease social and academic challenges.

The Advocate provides an important communication link between home and school to assist students and parents in designing an optimal education experience.
