Jazz/Rock Ensemble

Jimi Hendrix. Miles Davis. John Coltrane. 
These visionaries and many others will serve as inspiration. We will play their music and write our own. We will rock out and swing hard. We will read notes and improvise. We will stretch ourselves musically into unknown territory.
Students should have a basic understanding of their instruments including chords, scales, and proper technique. Most importantly, students should be prepared to practice outside of class, and be ready to expect the unexpected. All instrumentalists are encouraged to apply. Open to high school and above and by approval of instructor. Please call for audition information.

String Chamber Ensemble

Justine Jeanotte
This chamber ensemble is designed for intermediate to advanced players. Students will focus on learning and performing repertoire by great composers of the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods such as Vivaldi, Mozart, and Tchaikovsky. To audition, students will be asked to play a favorite piece of music that best showcases ability, and a scale of choice. Open to ages 12 and up and by approval of instructor.
