West Sound Academy moved into a new 20,000 square foot facility in November of 2005 adjacent to the Northwest College of Art in
Poulsbo.
Conveniently located just off Highway 305, the campus includes four buildings of 5,000 square feet each housing our academic
and arts programs. The 20-acre campus sits high on a hill overlooking
Liberty Bay, views of the Olympic Mountains and Mt. Rainier.

The site allows some classes to occur in an outdoor setting. This
beautiful, quiet, natural location is ideal for environmental science. The
school's 20 acres are considered a teaching laboratory. Two buildings house state-of-the-art science laboratories in addition to large classrooms
and common areas for integrated, cooperative projects. A Fine Arts building contains studio art, dance, music, and gallery space. The Media Center
holds the library, computer labs, and administrative offices. A regulation sized soccer field and a basketball court offer outdoor athletics.
Additional phases of the development will include construction of another classroom building, a multipurpose building, tennis courts, and a
performing arts center that will provide theater space for the community,
visiting artist studios, and a meeting hall.
Tim Ryan Construction, Inc. was contracted by Norum Properties to build
the campus which is funded by Frontier Bank. |
