Middle School student on Hour of Code dayThe Ninth Annual Founders’ Scholarship Day, taking place on Saturday, February 3, 2018, offers outstanding students the opportunity to earn an annually renewable merit scholarship to help make a West Sound Academy IB Diploma education affordable.

Upper School girl in the WSA COMMONSStudents applying to Upper School and Middle School will each have an opportunity to experience a mini-day of classes working with some of WSA’s outstanding faculty.  Students who participate will be placed in age-appropriate groups for the day. This is also an opportunity for faculty to meet prospective students as part of the admissions process.

Founders' Scholarship Day not only honors our founders, Dr. Edward Frodel and Dr. Gordon Parke, but also provides a wonderful opportunity for students who are interested in attending WSA. 

Participants can qualify for renewable annual scholarships of up to $2,000 during this annual event. 

 

  • Date:  February 3, 2018

  • Time: 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon

  • To reserve your spot please download this Registration Form and submit it to Lisa Gsellman at lgsellman@westsoundacademy.org no later than January 26, 2018

  • Eligible students are those entering Grades 6 through 12 in Fall, 2018, and not currently attending West Sound Academy

  • Applicants will come for an abbreviated school day to participate in classroom activities and will be eligible for merit scholarship awards

  • Students have the opportunity to earn an annually renewable merit scholarship. Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA and remain in good standing for renewal

  • No award will be made until all components of a student’s application have been received by the Admissions office, including recommendations and transcripts.  Complete the process by using West Sound Academy's Online Application

  • Submit your WSA Admissions Application and supporting documents by February 3, 2018
