Admission toWest Sound Academy is not based solely on academic performance.
We admit a diverse student body comprised of individuals - each with
an abiding interest. Students come here because they are motivated
to learn, because they have an interest in literature, in biology,
or the arts. They come here because they have an inquisitive mind.
Students are celebrated for their strengths and come to know that each brings an important contribution to the school. We have an atmosphere of inclusivity, and our students, 6th graders and 12th graders alike, support one another. Many of our classes are multi-age - an intention that provides a strong atmosphere of community. West Sound Academy is a family. To maintain a sense of community, satisfy student curiosity, and ensure learning, our classes are small. Student numbers in any course rarely exceeds fifteen, and frequently classes of two to five will be scheduled. Our focus is our students. Our intention is learning which results in understanding.
